we continue side deck week with a card not seen too much play in a long time.
Forced back:
Negate the Normal Summon or Flip Summon of a monster and return the monster to its owner's hand.
essentially this card can single handedly stop possible otk's. if your opponent can't get that first normal summon that possibly leads to many special summons, that is a good thing. decks like blackwings and x-sabers require that initial normal summon to trigger their massive summonings.
sure you can use your bottomless trap holes or regular trap holes, or even compulsory. but there are always the chances the opponent can get prio on those monsters eff, or even negate your traps with trap stun.
the thing is this card is a counter trap, meaning if they really want to summon that monster theyll have to waste a solemn, or dark bribe on this card, which could essentially leave you with out much worry about them stopping another card you may have lurking in there.
of course the problem with this card, as is also with every card, it's all about the timing. if you waste your hand often like me this card could be a dead draw, but if you do get it in the beginning or even when you're in control of the field, it could give you that edge.
not to mention it will stop GK's spy from being flip summoned by your opponent, at least that way you know what their face down was and can easily get rid of it some way.
